Background Information

Bill Heffner is a Law Enforcement Official who has been serving since 1976 and doing double duty since 2001. Bill Heffner presently works full-time as a State Corrections Officer on the Midnight Shift at a local Prison, Part-Time as a Deputy Sheriff assigned to local schools as a liaison and when he can find time he shares his musical talents doing his tribute to Elvis at class reunions, proms, parties, nursing homes and wherever someone wants to just remember Elvis.

Bill Heffner believes everyone has the potential for good and does his best to inspire and encourge all to pursue their potential, because any amount of light can kill the darkness and he wants to live in a world that shines.

Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 and 6 of the Kings James Version of the Holy Scriptures says; - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. -

Over the years Bill has learned through scripture that all good gifts come from God. Bill understands that his poetic talent or any talent he may have is not given so he can be blessed, but to be a blessing to others, so Bill writes to show God that he appreciates the poetic gift God has given him.

Bill hopes his poetry will ignite a desire in you to seek out a personal relationship with God almighty through His Son Jesus Christ. If you already have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus, then he prays these poems encourage you to continue to shine the light of Jesus by sharing your talents to bless others. And don't forget, these poems have been inspired as a result of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was the one knocking at the door of Bill Heffner's heart. It took Bill a while to answer the door, but when Bill did, the devil ran out and Jesus came in.

Additional Information

Bill was blessed to be part of the Utah Olympic Public Safety Command during the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Bill was assigned to Park City Main Street and had the opportunity to work with some of the best public servants in the USA and he will always remember their faith and patriotic attitudes. When Bill is not with his family, working in law enforcment or writing poetry you can also find him doing his tribute to Elvis through singing grams, weddings, parties, dances and proms etc... Bill also sings the National Anthem at sporting events and different ceremonies to honor America.
