I'm the author of the novel, THE BONE WEAVER, and the editor of two anthologies: THE OTHER WOMAN: Twenty-one Wives, Lovers, and Others Talk Openly About Sex, Deception, Love, and Betrayal and FOR KEEPS: Women Tell the Truth About Their Bodies, Growing Older, and Acceptance. I teach in the UCLA Writers Program. The documentary film, Suffer the Little Children: Frances Kelsey and the Story of Thali

Background Information

B.A. and M.A. in unrelated fields (isn't that always the case?!). I was greatly influenced by the writing of Wallace Stegner. Living in Paris for five years had a profound influence on my view of literature.

Achievements: The publication of my first novel; two terrific children; great friends.

Additional Information

An article about my book tour experiences appeared 6/23/02 in the San Francisco Chronicle (www.sfgate.com). I'm a frequent guest speaker at book fairs and for various organizations. This inlcudes writing workshops, keynote speaker for literary and fundraising events. I've appeared twice on The Today Show and will have a second guest spot on ABC's View From the Bay in December.
