Background Information

John Raynor was born in 1944, is registered blind and runs his own software development company, Computential Ltd.  He married his second wife, Aleth, a Filipina, in 1993 and has two children, seventeen-year old James and thirteen-year old Kimberley.

John has been writing, in his spare time, for a number of years.  He has written several short stories, and two novels, “A Comfortable Death”, a thriller set in the Philippines and "The Gaudi Facade", a romantic thriller set in Barcelona in 2012.  In November, 2011, he published, using Amazon's KDP, a series of three short stories for children entitled "Who's got talent?", using his pen-name, Christopher Carr. In 2012, he published two auto-biographical works, "A Chronicle of Intimacies" and "Who wants to be British?"

Additional Information

In September, 2010, an Ebook version of "The Gaudi Facade" was released and in September, 2011, another Ebook was released. This was of my first published novel, "A Comfortable Death" and, by pitching it at a low price ($1.80), I am hopeful of reaching a wider audience.

A Comforta
In the land of Ferdinand Marcos you quickly learn to be tough. Lisa was the eighth child in the poverty-stricken Tiguelo family. Born in the Philippine province of Cotobata during 1965, she was to learn just how difficult life could be. This touching yet thrilling story describes the turbulent life of stunningly beautiful Lisa through her troublesome childhood to joining the New Peoples Army at 15 and, later, her mission to avenge her grandmother’s death.

The Gaudi Facade
Adam Sheldrake, a young British architect travels to Barcelona for what should be a fairly ordinary holiday. By chance, he meets a beautiful, talented, twenty-seven year old Italian artist, Caterina Fonteras at the Olympic Stadium and, from this point, the holiday turns into a life-changing experience for both of them. With a common interest in Antoni Gaudi, the famous Spanish architect, they visit the Sagrada Família and are drawn into a world of violent fanaticism, resulting in their capture and imprisonment. This romantic thriller, set in the year 2012 leads the reader into many twists and turns, a major threat to the Catholic faith and some quite extra-ordinary revelations.
