June has been writing poetry most of her adult life. She has a small booklet of poetry and two children's stories to her credit. After she retired from nursing, she did some volunteering at a local Crisis Pregnancy Center. Uncertain how to empathize with young women in a crisis pregnancy, June used her imagination to get "into the skin" of a young lady in these circumstances. "All Things" is a book that tells the story of what she thought it may have been like for her as a sixteen year old girl in the 1950's, if she had experienced a crisis pregnancy.
Her character, Sue, had to work through denial, anger, uncertainty, depression, and many other emotions that surround a crisis pregnancy. She made choices and decisions that reflected her beliefs and her Christian faith.
"All Things" did not finish the story, and currently June is working on a sequel, tentatively entitled "Soar Above the Yesterdays".
June places many of her thoughts and poems on her website blog, junebarebooks.com
