Sheila Parrish is a creative artist in all genres, who combines her energy and drive into Communique'.

Background Information

Sheila M. Parrish is an educator,a lawyer, and a meditor.  She is also very interested in geneology an loves research. She has been writing poems, prose, and books since 5th grade.  She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in English and Communications; received her law degree from North Carolina Central University Law School; and, studied comparative law at Exeter University School of Law in England.  


As a writer for various newspapers and magazines, she enjoys the art of creative and informative writing, combined with the art of communication. She also gives seminars in the areas of   law throughout the United States for such organizations as the Wisconsin Bar Association, National Bar Association, Society of Family Lawyers, Inns of Court, Junior League, and other organizations.  She teaches at the University of Phoenix, and Bryant and Stratton College in the areas of business and law. Sheila has also taught for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and was employed there as a Career Counselor. At Mt Mary College and Milwaukee Area Technical College she taught business law courses and English.  She is also an assessor at Alverno College in Milwaukee. Sheila is a member of several book clubs to.


Sheila is the author of a legal opinion in the North Carolina Central University Law Journal; and has co-authored two books with Jonathan Clarence Parrish Spence and Joseph Spence – Trilogy Moments for the Mind, Body and Soul and, A Trilogy of Poetry, Prose, and Thoughts for the Mind, Body and Soul. 


Sheila’s parents were the motivating forces behind her success as a writer and communicator. They were the owners and publishers of Excellence Magazine, which was an international quarterly.  She wrote many articles for this magazine, and assisted with the marketing of it. ls, her father, the late Circuit Court Judge Clarence R. Parrish of Milwaukee wrote and published a fiction noel, Images of Democracy, a book of poery entitled Expressions of Faith, and many legal papers on various subjects. They can be found in public libraries, bookstores, and schools throughout the country. Later one of her college professors inspired her to continue her writing as a means of expression through creative writing to legal writing. She will also hold fond memories of her since departed parents and her college professor who took the time to encourage her and the nurture her abilities in the art of writing and communication.
