I was born in March 1964 at the Unicoi County Hospital in Erwin Tennessee. My parents were William B. Arrington and Etta Harrell Arrington. I was the youngest child in a family of five boys and two girls. I am the author of “The Voyage of Billy Buckins” and a Journalist for the Tri-Cities Examiner in East Tennessee.
I have over two hundred other published articles, works and positive reviews. I have eight published books that includes” Smoky Mountain Stories” and” Tommy Hop the Bunny.” I have another book in the works from the Billy Buckins series.
I had a typical family, my parents loved to travel and I spent most of my school years in Myrtle Beach South Carolina and Titusville Florida. This childhood spent along the ocean inspired most of my writings of life on the sea. I am from a family of writers, my sister Linda writes under the name Linda D. Harrington and is the Author/Illustrator of “Holly’s Backyard Adventures” my mother was also a Writer/Author and wrote “The Man Called Simon” in 1978.
I began my actual career in Law Enforcement in January of 1984 when I went to work as a State Law Enforcement Officer. I was forced to retire due to an injury in the line of duty and went back to my love of writing full time. I live in East Tennessee with my wife of nineteen years, Kristin Arrington and our two sons. I am a very active volunteer in my son's elementary school. I serve in my church food ministry and also as a deacon. My wife and I volunteer in several children's programs, community clubs and direct after school programs.
