I grew up in the Midwest, and, fiddling with my bio, I lost the rest...
until I found it on my friend Maria's site, tonight. In early 2009.
I grew up in the Midwest, in a small city in Wisconsin's heartland, where farms, silos and cows were everyday sights. A tiny bit of a rebel when young, I traveled to Washington with a few friends to be a cherry picker, lived in Seattle streets two months in 1978, and drove through many Western US states around this youthful time. Enjoyed living just east of Colorado's gorgeous mountains in Longmont, CO for several years and now reside in the equally lovely southeastern Arizona mountains, in a large copper mining community. I was fortunate enough to live 2 blocks from my small city library where I happily spent hours; checking for interesting titles and bringing home armfuls of books at a time. My Uncle, Jim Doriot, would bring me SciFi, Sword and Sorcery and Fantasy books that he had read. I had piles of them, numerous authors, wonderful worlds, magical creatures...and I have been reading unquenchably through the years ever since.
