In 2002, I turned the beginnings of my novella Acetone Enema into a short story by the same name. It was published in The House of Pain ezine (Jan/Feb 2003). Encouraged by the positive feedback I received, I continued writing extreme adult horror stories and had several published. I used iUniverse to make my novella "Hard Ball" available. It didn't sell. I don't know what I expected. It was different than what I was currently writing. So, I gave up on "Hard Ball" and moved on. Meanwhile, three more of my short stories were published in The House of Pain: "The Mechanics of Perversion" (May 2003), "Baby Hunter" (Autumn 2003)and "The Purloined Lips of Destiny" (Spring 2004).
My story "Blind Feeling" appeared in the Chimeraworld #2 anthology, September 2005. Another story "Misfortune Smiles Too" appeared in Chimeraworld # 3.
I've been working on a psycho-erotic sci-fi/horror novel for the what seems like a decade now. I've been sitting on what I thought was the final draft for several years.
Recently, I noticed that the House of Pain archives were no longer available online. This made me rethink what I want to do with my writing overall. I made the decision to re-release those stories in Acetone Enema: A Morbid Collection of Short Stories & Poetry.
Working on the collection inspired me to revisit my novel. I've finally figured out what it needs; and the words are flowing again. I am finding enjoyment in rewriting and improving the sections that need it.
Stay tuned for more. And if you like anything I've written, please talk about it.
