As a young child, I spent a lot of time with my grandmother, Grace Bellord, in France. Together we would walk from shop to shop, buying the best of breads, candies, and perfumes. Somtimes we would be out in the countryside and I would be allowed to run on the grassy hills and ride the beautiful horses of my grandmother's friends. From a young age, I loved to read, and what always got me was that we always lacked books in the schools as well as in the houses of my friends and my very own house.
One boring afternoon at my Auntie's house, I was told to read or run in the three acre garden- and with no books to read- I spent the whole afternoon in the garden- heat and all- chasing and creating dreams that I vowed I would publish as soon as I could.
Twenty years later, here I am, 3 published books into my dream of many. Wishing and hoping, for every child to have a book and story to read- to learn, to love and be taught by.
