My name is Oskar Knoblauch. I was born in Leipzig Germany in 1925. I am 86years old and extremely grateful to be living a wonderful retired life in very sunny Phoenix Arizona. After much encouragement from my family and friends, I decided to write a book of my Holocaust experience in Nazi Germany. I have self published my book, A Boy's Story A Man's Memory Surviving The Holocaust 1933-1945. As you can well imagine this true account was not easy to write. The brutal and senseless atrocities committed against millions of innocent people, rekindled painful memories. However, i felt the urgency to tell my story, not only for my own children and grandchildren, but for all people everywhere. I am a firm believer that we must teach our youth the importance of respect and tolerance! I would like to thank the many readers of all ages, religions and political views, who have written and e-mailed me with truly passionate and genuine thanks for writting my story. Many readers who have read other Holocaust books tell me how different my story is and cannot put the book down.. Some are on their second reading! I could not ask for more. Thanks.
" Of all the animals man is the only one that is cruel. He is the only one that inflicts pain for the pleasure of doing it. The human race has only one really effective weapon, and that is laughter." (Mark Twain)
