There is not much to my background, but I started writing in 2010; so not that long. My friends greatly influenced the love I have for writing poetry. It flows so naturally, I am sure God has given me the ability to write. I really got into reading different styles, and have tried writing them, my best so far is free-style. Most of what I write is...dark, but I also have joyful things. Most of all my poetry, if read in chronological order would be like pertaining to a journal and in a way it is my journal. I don't 'try' to find something to say or show people, I just write exactly what is in my being. Sometimes, that's not so good especially when I walk away from God. Then my work is filled with anger until I realize I want to stay with Him and I run back to His open arms.
My major influences would have to be:
God, my Father and LORD, who I credit all my achievements, abilities and well...everything. He is the one who was the beginning of my passion.
my sister, who encouraged me to keep doing what I was doing,
my dearest friend, my sweetest companion who believes in me even when I do not, and who opened doors to places I had never thought to see. He has truly been my gift from God, and I cannot imagine being without him for even one day.
my best friend, who helps me 'fix' my grammer and wording, and tells me what I shouldn't say. She has played a big part of me picking up the pen. She tells me when I begin to doubt myself; "You are a poet, be empowered!"
