Always wanted to share my writings except for the time my big brother got ahold of my diary and read it aloud to his friend!!! Only won one award in school: "The Diary of Melissa Dixon"; a fictional diary based on the real trek on the Oregon trail as seen through my then young eyes! When I lived in California as a very young "woman", I would sneak my poetry into the newletter I got to publish monthly for an insurance co.!!!!
Award for being a Mother? No, they have taught me so much. Have been involved in tutoring, infant care, nursing homes, the elderly, being a labor coach, LLL, childcare and working with the on the edge people as I like to view it as I have been there myself and know that it can happen to anyone!!! Great lessons!!!!

My son just got married!!! There are no books for this on how to "do it"!!! I have always let books guide me so much and have always found out, much to my dismay, that it doesn't always go the way you read it!!! I have another son back from Florida and going to college. I have a young daughter and feel so blessed to have another child to raise!!! And learn from!!!
