East Carolina University honored me in 2007 by selecting me as one of "100 Incredible ECU Women" for my work in literature and leadership.
"Murder at Blue Falls", and its sequel "Perfect for Framing," both mysteries, take place on a fictional dude ranch in the Appalachians of North Carolina. My own honeymoon was on a dude ranch in Wyoming. "Emeralds in the Snow," a romance and mystery, developed out of my ski patrol experiences at Sugar Mountain, NC. "Appalachian Paradise", a spicy romance set in Pisgah National Forrest of NC, relies heavily on my own backpacking trip to the Smokies in NC.
I come from the business world and my stories are tightly written, fast-paced with energetic characters set in the most beautiful part of the world. I'm an Air Force brat who put myself through East Carolina University, earning an MBA. I worked as an executive and retired before I was 45.
Reading has been a major part of my life and now, writing is my passion. My life is shared with my husband and my cat.
