Drug War Facts -- Pain Management
Drug War Facts provides reliable information with applicable citations on important public health and criminal justice issues. It is updated regularly by its Editor, Douglas A. McVay.
Most charts, facts and figures are from government sources, government-sponsored sources, peer reviewed journals and occasionally newspapers. In all cases the source is cited so that journalists, scholars and students can verify, check context and obtain additional information.
Our mission is to offer useful facts, cited from authoritative sources, to a debate that is often characterized by myths, error, emotion and dissembling. We believe that in time an informed society will correct its errors and generate wiser policies.
Drug War Facts is sponsored by Common Sense for Drug Policy. Its directors are Kevin B. Zeese, President; Mike Gray, Chair; Robert E. Field, Co-Chair and Executive Director; and Melvin R. Allen.

Stop suffering with chronic pain.
No one wants to be in pain, and when you are, all you can think about is relief. But pain, whether constant or sporadic, is your bodyís way of telling you that something is wrong and needs attention. Itís not always obvious exactly what that something is. For instance, myofascial pain is caused by tension deep within a muscle that is referred by the nerves to other areas of the body, making it difficult for the patient to identify the origin of their own pain.
Eliminate the cause, eliminate the pain.
At the Blatman Pain Clinic, our goal is not only to relieve your pain, but also to unlock the source of your pain and work towards eliminating the cause. We do this through a customized combination of traditional medical treatments and holistic therapies, such as dietary changes, exercises and acupressure. Depending upon the patient and diagnosis, we may suggest proven alternative therapies or non-drug pain treatments in order to stimulate the mind and bodyís natural healing power. We believe patient education and support are the keys to continued good health, and will teach you techniques to manage and prevent pain long after you have left our office.
This unique, holistic approach to diagnosing, treating and managing chronic pain can greatly improve your quality of life now and into the future. In the "Articles" section you can read Dr. Blatman's thoughts and articles about various topics. These include Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain, Sports Injuries, Prolotherapy, Nutrition, and others. Other authors contributed to articles about EEG biofeedback, thought field therapy and body cleanse.

Guardian Angel Basset Rescue
Guardian Angel Basset Rescue, Inc. rescues Basset Hounds
from abusive and unwanted situations. Our organization gives Bassets a second chance to live as they were intended - as someone's best animal friend.
Bassets are given up for a variety of reasons. It may be due
to a divorce or a job transfer. Sometimes they are given up because they were barking frequently, asking merely for attention that they were not receiving. At times, they are only hours from death. We do our best to keep that from happening.

Sometimes the rescued Basset is too weak, ill, or frightened to be placed in a new home right away. Our foster homes help them to recover. After much loving care, the dogs are physically and emotionally ready to be placed in loving, caring homes.
There are many reasons why dogs are in need of rescue, but they all have the same basic need, a good home with love and attention.
RESCUE is what we do when we take in a Basset in need.
RESCUE is what you do by fostering or adopting a Basset in need. Guardian Angel Basset Rescue needs your help in order to give a Basset Hound a rich, loving, and full life.
