If I may quote Emily Dickinson, "I'm nobody, who are you?" As to my background, I'm living it, I'm always in the background. Major influences: Self, Thomas Hood, Arthur Guitterman, Laura Richards, Ogden Nash, Richard Armour and at times Prelutsky and Silverstein. Humor really grabs my funny bone and my first stab at poetry (age 11) was in the comedic vein (ouch!) and I've been stabbing ever since to the point of blood...clots. I like serious poets too, from Keats to Cullen (Countee) and from Crane (Stephen) to Cruz (Mike). Mike who?

My main achievements have been in the field of strawberries. Strawberry Fields forever. I was at the head of my class so my teachers could keep a closer eye on me and when I was teachers' pet I never got petted. In high school (low school) I received the "Most Likely To Recede Award". Prophesy fulfilled!

My recent works are getting old but my old is always new; if there's nothing new under the sun, how about above it? There, I said something new.
