Background Information

Jack Phillips Lowe is Chicago-born and raised. Like Don Quixote, he went mad from reading too many books---so much so, he took to writing them. Lowe's short stories and poems have appeared in Barbaric Yawp, Gold Dust Magazine (U.K.) and Pulp & Dagger Fiction, among other small press outlets.

Lowe is the author of three books, including So Much for Paradise (poems, MuscleHead Press, 2000) and Long Form (poems, Free Thought Publications, 2004). His most recent effort is a collection of short stories, PARIAH TALES (Onzo Imprints, 2007). He'd truly appreciate you buying a copy today. Hint, hint.

His influences include Hemingway, Vonnegut, Bradbury, Italo Calvino and Jorge Luis Borges. But most of all, Lowe was influenced by his late grandmother---who never hesitated to tell him that he's nuts.
