I was born in Havre de Grace, MD, a small town off the Chesapeake Bay. When I was a young teen, we moved to Yuma, AZ. I truly love the desert....except the summer heat. Since we moved here, I married a wonderful man, had six children (his and mine), and eight grandhildren.
My den is my sanctuary. It's where I do all of my writing. (Unless I'm at work and get bored at lunch time) I do not write traditional poetry, rather narrative poems. I admire the capability of real poets, who can give color to their work and make their poetry sing. I have never found more caring friends than those in Author's Den. I realize I'm not an author, but I have met some very fine ones on this site. It's been very educational to be able to look at all styles of writing, and make this an educational experience.
I am currently studying my genealogy. So far I'm Hungarian on Dad's side, and Scottish on Mom's and a little bit of everything in between. So I guess I'm a bit of a mutt, but aren't those the most loveable? :-)
I love nature and wildlife and really hurts me to watch us destroy our own planet. So many species of animals are near extinction because of Man, we need to take a long hard look at what we are doing to our environment.
Peace and Love to All!
