I live outside a small town on the west side of Michigan. My husband and I have four grown children,(Jamie,Karie,Timothy and Tarie) seven grandchildren. (Calvin,Kenny,Kirstin,JoAnna,Jina,Tyler, and Trent)
“Prisoner of the Heart” was written for my own enjoyment, not even my family knew I was writing it. This all changed when one day our youngest daughter was working on the family computer and opened a file called “Dakota”.
After reading a few chapters of my then, “story” Tarie says to me, “Mom I didn’t know you could write.” Talk about being embarrassed! I tried to say, “Oh it’s just a story, something to do.” Her reply to me was, “Mom, this is as good as V.C. Andrews.” Now keep in mind my daughters and I are avid book readers, however we don’t read the same type’s of books, so my reply was, “Who’s V.C. Andrews?” Tarie rolls her eyes, smiles and says, “Mom, you know my book, Flowers in the Attic…” and she listed a few more titles by V.C. Andrews. By then the light went on and yes I knew who she was talking about.
As “Prisoner of the Heart” continued to be written I had my first reader drawn in. Tarie would come home from school and to the computer she’d go to see what I had written each day. She was not only my sounding board, but also my most “hard core” critic.
When I had finished my “story” as I called it then, my family then pushed me to get published.
So because of a nosey, at the time seventeen year old named, Tarie “Prisoner of the Heart” was discovered and then went on to be published. My many “Thanks T.T.”
I am also a co-writer of a book called, "Mother's of Writers".
My next book soon be released is called “Revenge”. With a third book in the works called, “When All Else Fails…There’s Murder”.
