My first major influence was my 8th grade English teacher. She gave me a world of encouragement. My husband has since encouraged me to share my work with the rest of the world. My favorite poet is Robert Frost.

I Won 2nd place for my poem, "My Father, My Friend" in June, 2002; Poem, "To Daddy" to be published in an anthology by the International Library of Poetry,and have received contracts for 3 of songs from a Nashville Publisher. Nashville Song Service has produced my dirst demo, "Walking Shoes", & the 2nd, "Another Hundred Years" is in production.

My first book, "Poetry From The Heart" was published by eNovel.com. My second, "A Place For The Soul To Heal", and third, "Beyond The Storm" are published and for sale on Lulu.com. I am now a member of BMI, and my song demo's can be previewed at Songramp.com & Clearchannel.com.
