Background Information

My major influences are my parents who no longer grace the physical world. I suppose this is where I tell you my unique qualities. Unfortunately, words can only describe very little of the human mystique. This is the conundrum; words are all writers have to explain all there is. It’s not enough but I enjoy the challenge of trying to put all I see and feel into my writing. If this sounds weird I must be doing something right. My ultimate goal is to be happy and at peace in this moment, all I have is right now and I choose to be happy.
My favorite book is: Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo. I read it when I was a teenager and it scared the hell out of me. It’s funny, I’ve seen a thousand movies about the atrocities of war but nothing stamped the indelible scars of war in my mind like that book. It should be required reading to all high school students.
My favorite actor was Paul Newman. I’m still feeling the shock of his death but at least I can tell my grandchildren what real acting talent was. My favorite athlete was the great distance runner Steve Prefontaine who lived on food stamps and died too young. He was poor and lived in a trailer and still managed to have the love and admiration of millions. “To give anything but your very best is to sacrifice the gift.” My favorite quote is from Pre. My favorite singer/songwriter is Jim Morrison, probably the most misunderstood person in rock history. A belligerent drinker but hey: Do you know anyone who makes it good drunk?
I have written one book and am working on another right now. Just trying to stay busy in these challenging economic times.
Accomplishments

It ain't bragging if you can do it!
