Ever since I was a gangly little brown eyed girl, I loved to write stories. My parents bought me a journal and I wrote an entire story in it - I was about seven years old then. The story involved a girl living with her loving aunt for the summer in a large, mysterious mansion. She ended up discovering an unfinished painting, fascinated by the colors, shapes, and swirls. She sets out to uncover the mystery behind the artist, and even more mysterious - is why it was never finished. She stumbles on a dark (and dangerous!) secret. Ever since then, I have been fascinated by language. Stringing words together to create an original idea is a work of art.
My inspirations and influences are endless. Many authors have inspired me to write, including classical authors such as Charlotte Bronte, and Jane Austen. Modern authors include Nicholas Sparks, John Grisham, Anne Tyler, Stephanie Meyer, and many more.
Though I have yet to officially publish my novels, I continue the endless process of submissions and crossed fingers! My biggest thrill will be to one day see my name on the cover of my novel.
