Be it space opera, spy thriller, crime drama, police procedural, or multidimensional mystery, I've been at it since I mastered object permanence and acquired logic. I went at my mother's Smith-Corona like a fiend at that time, fracturing faerie-tales with a feminist bent. Leia was my favourite princess, Emma Peel my idol, and I was fascinated by Alice's trips down the rabbit-hole and through the looking-glass.
At fifteen, I wrote my first SF trilogy, a spy thriller-space opera. The new millennium saw me training as a forensic psychologist and criminal profiler; I began to pen SUBPROJECT 10/6, which would see multiple iterations, several novels, and two audio drama demos before its adaptation into the television series HUNTING ALICE (2016).
Why did this young woman go west with a pending TS clearance for Pentagon access in the field of intelligence with the FBI? The most discerning will be able to ferret out that truth -- or just find themselves further down the rabbit-hole.
When I'm not spinning yarns, behaving cryptically, or marvelling at the affectionate rage of my Bengal mix, Cheshire, I enjoy making good use of my formal education as a sex therapist and psychological counsellor. I work specifically in trauma to help those heal, deal, and everything in between. I gave up fighting, attempting to reform, and interviewing monsters with the USDOJ years ago, having incurred enough of the lifestyle to last many lifetimes -- and may already have. (Multidimensionality theory is another of my pet subjects as I studied special relativity and quantum physics avidly from some of the best.)
I'm also a classically trained coloratura soprano; I do burst out randomly into song. My stepdaughter is convinced I'm part tea-kettle, rather than Irish, Greek, and English. She may be correct. My apologies.
If you search for me in all of those fancy databases and find nothing, there's a reason for that. You'll just have to decide that everything, or nothing, I say is true. My apologies.
I used to be Aubigne Spratling to protect my identity, those of others, and 'fight the good fight' with a bit more anonymity. There's an adequate paper-trail, and you can glean my humble origins from it. Should I suddenly disappear, however, you can surmise what happened. My apologies.
Stay tuned for the crowdfunding campaign to launch for the television series HUNTING ALICE now in development, and, as always, question everything.
'Alice' -- err, Aubigne -- err, Leigh -- err, Aubyanne -- out.
