At the point where language falls away
from the hot bones, at the point
where the rock breaks open and darkness
flows out of it like blood, at
the melting point of granite
when the bones know
they are hollow & the word
splits & doubles & speaks
the truth & the body
itself becomes a mouth.
(Margaret Atwood)

Background
Information
|
|
I'm a poet from Latvia, I''ve been writing for three years, almost can't write without a computer (might sound silly, but it's true), hate writing a diary, so I don't; I admire the works of Margaret Atwood, Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf etc., also am a fan of some of Latvia's poets and prosaists, such as Inga Ābele, Nora Ikstene, Laima Muktupāvela and others. My biggest inluenses are music, weather, emotions from my life and personal experiences.
I dislike big-city life, and I'm going to study anthropology in Scoltand, UK.
