Background
Information
|
|
I write to help myself sort out my own feelings.
I write to make tangible the many "things" that are floating around in my atmosphere, in my soul.
I write to become better at writing.
Most of all, I write to reach out to those around me- by sharing not only my opinions on various topics, but by also sharing a piece of myself.
I have been influenced primarily by the works of Betty Smith and Grace Metalious and the music of Phish, David Byrne, Dave Matthews, and The Beatles.

Accomplishments
|
|
I have won various small writing contests, starting at the age of seventeen. I wrote my first full-length novel in less than a week- once I started telling my life story, I just couldn't stop. That book is called Praying for Snow and is available at PublishAmerica.com. I am hoping to expand beyond self-marketing in the near future.
Aside from writing, I was a competitive baton twirler for fourteen years. I am a former feature twirler (University of Kentucky), member of a world trials level twirling team, and have amassed several state, regional, and national twirling titles.

My husband, Nathan Reynolds, is also a published author. Together, we have many rescued pets, and animal advocacy is near and dear to our hearts. I work as a freelance writer and I also enjoy seeing live music- specifically jam bands- and comedy shows.

This site is used primarily to promote my novel, which is a coming-of age story. Themes include small town Americana, familial and romantic relationships, loss/grief, friendships, mental illness, and drug and alcohol addiction. Lesser themes are baton twirling and music. Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web!
