Raised in New York’s South Bronx, Barry found alternatives to the “street life” in his love for aircraft and music.
At thirteen Barry joined the Civil Air Patrol where he began his studies of leadership. He soon became Squadron Commander of the Civil Air Patrol’s Bronx Cadet Squadron One.
He attended New York’s top-ranked AviationHigh School, and received his Aircraft Maintenance Technician license from the Federal Aviation Administration upon graduation.
After relocating to Los Angeles, Barry became a Design Engineer for Lockheed Martin; and later met his wife Cozzette. Together they relocated to the Antelope Valley and joined the Living Stone Cathedral of Worship. Under the leadership of Bishop Henry W. Hearns, Barry was ordained Deacon, became the Church’s Trustee Board Chairman, and was eventually licensed as a Minister of the Gospel.
Barry and Cozzette went on to pastor the Palmdale Southeast Foursquare Church, more affectionately known as the Greater Love Christian Fellowship.
Overtaken with lung disease, he retired from full time pastoral work. Yet, in spite of physical restrictions, Barry continues to serve the community through lectures, books, internet ministry, and benevolence.
“In becoming a minister, I haven’t always been on the “right road.” It’s been a long and interesting journey. Somewhere along the way there came a discovery of biblical truth, and the journey changed forever.“
Barry’s biggest influences have been the Lord Jesus Christ, his dear parents, loving wife, and four wonderful children.
His greatest ministerial influences are Bishop Henry Hearns, Dr. Jack Hayford, and Reverend Jan Spencer.
Today, Barry’s unique message and ministry serve as inspiration to people across the nation, and around the world.
