LAURA LYNN PETERSEN is the fourth child of seven, born to Leslie(passed away) and Shirley (passed away)Petersen of Calgary, Alberta. Born in Kamloops, British Columbia, on January 3, 1959. She grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she currently resides. She went to Florence Nightingale School, Sir Charles Tupper
High School, King Edward Campus, and Vancouver Vocational Institute.  She took acting lessons from  director Michael Berry when she was 23 years old. She has a Black-Stripe belt in Taekwondo from Kees Taekwondo in Vancouver, British Columbia.  Her father Lesie Petesen (passed away) was related to singer Johnny Cash on mother's side of family. She is an International Author. Her first book LauraLynnPetersen'sBardVerses! was published in 2005 with PublishAmerica
