Winner of numerous awards for advertising creativity at New York's Clio Awards as well as the Venice and Cannes Film Festivals. 1979 Outstanding Alumni Award from College of Communication Arts at Michigan State University. His novel, Waking Walt, was the winner of the 2003 Royal Palm Award from the Florida Writers Association for best speculative fiction. Recently, he was selected by the Mighigan State News, where he was advertising manager as a student, to become a member of the newspaper's Alumni Hall of Fame.

Larry is the author of two privately published books of poetry and lyricist of more than 100 published songs. His poetry book, Lyrics of Life in four-part harmony was published in 2006. In May of 2008 Larry had a double lung transplant. He is currently working on "Diary of a Miracle," the story of that experience, plus a new collection of poetry called "Afterthoughts."
