AuthorsDen has created the AD 1436 non-profit organization to further the mission of revolutionizing the publishing industry, while connecting youth with the power of creative writing. The organization supports schools, teachers and students with a new, innovative approach to publishing, while connecting students with published authors who serve as project mentors. The goal is three-fold; provide the youth with a creative outlet that encourages teamwork, promotes leadership and ownership; develop writing skills that are critical to success in today’s workplace and; gives schools an on-going fundraising/revenue stream through the book sales of the student created books.

Echoes of Ocean Trails
Echoes of Ocean Trails is an author mentored, student written fictional story presenting a broad introduction to a storyline that incorporates local facts with a fictional story influenced by a teenage perspective. This collaborative student effort provides the reader with a sense of history for the surrounding areas and focuses around the lives of two characters, Michael Vander Ark and John Matsumoto. The story’s development was decided and written by the students of Palos Verdes Unified School District.
