Artoni’s World is the creative spirit of Anthony C. Fletcher, who has been a student of the arts since the age of eight. As a professional artist, Artoni is thankful that his work as a creative consultant, graphic designer, art director and illustrator for scientists, advertising agencies, record companies, and magazines sustains his inspiration as a visual creative artist. Artoni works in different styles and mediums, although his favorites are oil on canvas and pencil on paper. When he creates art, he allows the subject matter to determine its style of execution. His artworks can be found in private collections throughout the USA, Central America, the UK, and Ghana, West Africa.
Artoni believes that being an artist results in a life journey of discovery and that the artworks created become milestones...enabling that artist to share with the world the ideas and visions he has discovered within his process of creation!
Anthony C. Fletcher is a native of Wilmington, DE, now residing in Jersey City, NJ. His artwork reflects a life of inspiration from his American heritage, his immersion in the world of music (most noticeably the history of jazz), and a deep spiritual root system that all converge organically in color and form. The tropical brilliance of Gaugin, the electricity of Van Gogh, the lineage of Beardon are all evidenced as influences on the distinctive lyrical sense of Artoni’sartwork.
He has provided images and designs for many top companies in publishing, music, and fashion, including CBS, SONY, EPIC, CAPITOL, ELEKTRA, RCA/BMG, ISLAND, FLYTE TYME, GRP, SPORTS LLUSTRATED, Phat Farm, Ecko Unlimited Inc., and DKNY Jeans, among others.
As a teaching artist, Artoni has conducted design workshops in Central America for the Instituto Nacional de Cultura in Panamá City, Colon City, and David, Chiriqui in the Republic of Panamá. Artoni has exhibited internationally and has paintings in many private collections, including several noted collections of contemporary African American art.
Most recently, Artoni has created a new action-adventure cartoon character toy property, C2 & PÓSSE (pronounced Cee-Squared)Inner-City Heroes™, the first of its kind to portray Inner-City teenagers as heroes.
The C2 & PÓSSE: INNER-CITY HEROES character property utilizes exquisite, full-color illustrations, contemporary dialogue and suspenseful plot twists to create a new medium for introducing children and teens to social issues and inspiring messages that promote literacy, encourages them to develop human attributes and values called the "CODES4LIFE™".
C2 & PÓSSE: INNER-CITY HEROES promotes the premise that knowing things and being aware is "Cool" & that not knowing things and being unaware is "Un-Cool".
These Inner-City Heroes of different cultures triumph over extraordinary circumstances to form a music group.
They utilize their CODES4LIFE to defeat the bad guys.
The salvation of all humanity rests on the broad shoulders of C2 & PÓSSE!
