I also love reading autobiographies of historical figures (biographies are too textbook like), mysteries, and horror.
I collect books that I read as a child and read them to my own children. I am building a library of my favorite childhood authors and books who/which are: Judy Bloom, Dr. Seuss, Eric Carle, Robert Munsch, Tomie DePaola, V.B. Williams, Claire Huchet Bishop and Kurt Wiese (The Five Chinese Brothers), Sweet Valley Series (Creator: Francine Pascal), and R.L. Stine.
In the near future, I would like to begin a PhD program in English. One quirky thing about me is that I like setting weird goals for myself that really has nothing to do with my professional life or anything else. An idea suddenly pops into my head and I do it. Recently, I felt the need to set a goal of reading 60 books in 5 years. I am a constant reader and it comes naturally. But, there are certain works that I have wanted to read for years and haven't gotten around to do it. So, I generated a list of those books and scheduled the month and year I will be reading those books. This list includes various genres, famous literary arts, and prize winning arts. I am so excited, I must say! Toodles!!
