I've returned to my writing which has always been a constant catharsis in my life.
Well without trying to sound cliched, I would have to say that my English teacher - Mr. Evans and his passion for English inspired me! I also loved my film study classes, especially "Dead Poets Society". Carpe Dium - SEIZE THE DAY! I surely tried to do this and went from 'strength to strength' in my writing.
I'm very fortunate to have a mother that is my "reviewer and secretary!"
I thank God for bringing "Angels" in my life, people who have made a difference to my situation at the time and who have brightened my days and given me hope to carry on.
My first short story is in memory of my dad, and I know he's watching me from heaven, he was my hero, a very wise man, and often I think of him wondering how he would handle the situation at hand. He was a great story teller, and was taken too early.
Other influences, are other best selling authors ie. Jodi Picoult - love her style and am a avid reader of her books!
In my poetry, Robert Frost, Emily Jane Bront, Keats, Elizabeth Browning - their remarkable, classic and timeless poetry has given me visons and dreams and technical insight.
