Born in Charlotte, NC, author Trent Dotson grew up in Cary in the state’s Research Triangle. An accomplished pianist, he studied music with James Clyburn at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, and with Barbara Rowan at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he appeared as a soloist with the UNC Symphony. He went on to study journalism and graphic design, and subsequently worked as an artist, writer, and editor for various trade associations and government agencies. He currently lives in Arlington, VA. His novel Craven Prayers, was published on 15 June 2009 by Montmorenci Books.
