I live with my family, sometimes in Thailand where I was born and my wife is from, sometimes in Ireland where my dad is from. In Thailand, I teach English at a bi-lingual school. In Ireland, I work with software. In both places, I write. At this moment, we're in N Ireland.

Information

Because I've lived in so many places, Thailand, Malaysia, UK, Ireland, US, and I speak more than one language with native fluency, I can cover quite a wide range of settings and situations from my own experience. I've also studied a lot of history, especially first century, Christian history and theology, and Rabbinical Judiasm. My Christian faith is a mixture of Emerging Church and Post-Missionary Messianic Judaism (though I'm not Jewish). All that, plus a bit of reading up on Quantum Mechanics probably sums it up.
My favourite genre for writing is Science Fiction, but I'm able to draw on a lot of my own experience. One of my stories has a character from a tribal culture that's been transplanted in outer space (based on my knowledge of tribal people living in Thailand and Burma), but arriving on Earth during the early first century, mixing with the Jewish culture of that time (I know -- sounds wild, but I think I've blended the various themes tastefully). The one that's been published already draws from my experience with homeless street children. It's set just slightly in the future.
