I was born in Wetumpka, Al. and graduated from a small town  high school...Akron High School, Akron, Al. I was married in 1965 and moved to Florida. My family owned several businesses over the years....Mexican Imports, service station/wrecker service/garage, restaurant equipment...in several states...Florida, Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, and finally Mississippi. I have two sons, two daughters, six grandsons, and three granddaughters. I loved the diversity of my life and have gained much from it. My husband passed away two years ago and I decided to come "home" to Sweet Home Alabama. I have always been interested in literature of all kinds...reading and writing. As I grow older, it becomes more important to me to leave something of me behind...hence my poetry. I intend to live life to the fullest every day that I have left here on this earth and I thank God for each wonderful, beautiful day He grants me here!
