I started writing when I was in Secondary School but most of my work ended up in my school trunk. It was only after writing a couple of plays for Church, one for Pentecost one for the Youth Group that I rekindled my passion. I went full force after the death of my husband when poetry just flowed out of me.
I am an emotional writer. I have to actually feel an event or see something striking and memorable before I can write. I cant just sit and make up things but when it flows i can pen more than three poems in an hour. Most of my poems are expressions of what i feel, have seen or heard.
I am at present writing a collection of poems, a children's story book, a fictional novel, a self help book and a factual book about widowhood in the african setting.
Major influences are Ama Ataa Aidoo, Star Hammond and other african writers. i am also influenced by the beautiful culture of Ghana and my love of nature and beauty of the people
