Olubunmi Salako co-founded Louth African Women Support Group, an African group that gives support to women in areas of information, training and education. She is the author of Tales by Moonlight: African Stories for Children Volumes 1, 2, 3 and the publisher Teachers’ World a journal for teachers which hit the news stand in Nigeria in May 2008. Bunmi currently works at St. Josephs National School


Background Information

She began her early education at Methodist School II in Ibadan Oyo State in early 60s. She later proceeded to Ibadan Grammar School for her Secondary education where she served as the Head girl in her final year in the mid 70s. She attended the United Missionary College where she obtained Grade II Teachers’ Certificate. She attended to the Federal College of Education (formerly Federal Advanced Teachers’ College) Okene in Kwara State where she obtained the National Certificate of Education (NCE). In her bid for a higher qualification, she proceeded to the University of Lagos Akoka, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English Education (B.A) Ed in 1988 and a Masters Degree in Adult Education (M.Ed) 1989.
