Lou Marin, an active duty Air Force member has lived in the Minot, North Dakota area his entire adult life, but will be relocating to the island of Guam, in the South Pacific Ocean in the late summer of 2009. He has been married since June of 2007 and has a daughter who lives in California with her mother. He also has one very loving adopted kitty that is slowly taking over the house and claiming all the best writing spots. His puppy loves to amuse herself at the kitty and house's expense.
His storytelling and poetry writing follows his heart and reflects upon life experiences, real or imagined. He has many interests: The Bible, folklore, history, fairy tales, family, travel, myths, cooking, movies, music, live poetry performances, and acoustic open microphone performing.
He has published poetry books entitled "AWASH WITH WORDS," and "Old Waves, New Beaches," through Publish America. Some of his poems and short stories can be found on, "Dogzplot." and other on-line zines. He is a frequent contributor to writing.com.
He is working on an action/adventure novel, a semi autobiographical piece about fishing in the North Atlantic, tentatively entitled, "Maine Pirates," as well as continually writing poetry, with two books in the works to be released in the late fall of 2009.
