My name is Michael Boxwell. I am married, have two children and reside in the United Kingdom. My books are sold across the world and are becoming increasingly popular in the United States and Canada.
In the main I write technical books based around Information Technology, Electric Vehicles and Solar Electricity. However, I have plans for other titles including non-fiction over the coming year.
My major influence in my writing may be seen as rather unusual: Albert Einstein, Nobel prize winner and one of the most outstanding physicists of all time.
Anyone who has read any of Albert Einstein's books or papers will know that he presents complex and difficult to understand information extremely clearly and simply. He writes with modesty and enthusiastically in such a way that some of the most complex physics theories around are easily understood by anyone who cares to pick up his books.
I decided that if Albert Einstein can present complex material in such an easy to understand and enjoyable way, there is no reason why any technical material on any subject cannot be written in the same way.
Whether or not I have succeeded is, of course, a judgement that only each reader can give. However, my books are often reviewed and commended for the straightforward way the information is presented and how easy they are to read.
My book, The Solar Electricity Handbook, is the bestselling books on solar electricity in the world. My most recent book, Owning an Electric Car, takes a balanced look at electric car ownership and is based on my four years experience of using electric cars for daily use.
