I've become an active author since I've successfully published a few books which was quite an accomplishment for me. I’ve applied so much diligence in my writing and with the support of my spouse, family and friends, their encouragement has inspired me to continue to do what I enjoy doing. I remember when I was 10 years old all of the other kids in my neighborhood would be riding bikes or playing jacks, I would be on a blanket under a tree in my yard with my pen and pad creating poems so I've always had a yearning to write.
I love to write poetry some here on Authorsden and on other sites. I also write for a few local publications. So far I've gotten some really nice reviews and I thank you all for your support.
My romance novel is completed and I'm currently working on other new projects.
Although my passion has always been mystery writing inspired by some of the old time greats such as Albert Hitchcock, Rod Sterling of the "Twilight Zone", the voice controlled narration of the old TV series "The Outer Limits" and I also enjoyed the mystery tales from the old crypt keeper from the chilling series "Tales from the Crypt". To add, I can't forget as a child one of my favorite novels was "GooseBumps" written by R.L. Stein which I would read at night snuggled under the covers. Oh how I enjoyed those great mystery stories which were quite entertaining and they really did give me goose bumps! All of their great talent has inspired me so much that I love to write about consequential events that appear to be real but yet in our minds we believe the unimaginable is a reality.
My writing forte comes from my heart, it's about having an imagination then visualizing the characters acting out this play in my mind and taking that vision to create an interesting story or an illusion.
Great authors and writers like Toni Morrison, Terry McMillian, Stephen King and Tyler Perry just to name few also use their imagination while searching deep within themselves challenging their great talent to produce great stories. Each having their own unique style in writing. All you need is an idea, a scene, a plot then go for it! I'm having fun with it and I hope you're enjoying some of my work too!
Like fine wine the older it gets the better it taste. The same applies to most things in life as well, the more you do something you love, the better you'll get and there's a lot more writing forthcoming from this new author.
So to all my mystery readers and fans out there, stay tune and may God bless!
