I would say I write poems, but really, it's more like the words find a voice through me.
I have written other things such as book reviews and greeting card copy, but I always come back "home" to where my heart is ~ poetry. I am a big fan (both reader and writer) of short form poetry such as haiku, tanka, and cinquain. I mostly write free verse, although I do write rhyme from time to time.

Almost all of my work thus far has been published under my married name Poppy Hullings, but in May 2009, I divorced and returned to my maiden name Poppy White.
