I live in Floirda very close to an American Icon but that's not what I'm here to discuss. My background? Okay- I hold a degree in Broadcasting but my heart is held by John Lennon. (pretty trite, eh?) I spent a few years as a video production assistant and a decade in corporate America but through it all I was writing. Whether it was business memos, technical, procedural or legal documents I always seemed to be channeled in that direction.
Completely unrelated (or so I thought) I started to study the Beatles back in 1995 after seeing "The Beatles Anthology" on television. Then, specifically on January 2, 1998 (who knows why) my ability to write collided with my passion for one particular Beatle, John Lennon. Again, do I know why? Of course not! All I know is since that day my subsequent study of his writing, music, art and life has brought me consistent inspiration resulting in the books I've published to date (and that includes my memories of working at the once and beautiful ill-fated Hard Rock Vault.).
Do I have any other influences? Yes, but they've not caused me to explode creatively like my passion for the Beatles has...at least not yet. I'm still fairly young (at heart anyway) and look forward to what following this writer's path has in store. I must admit there are two writers I hold in high regard (still among the living), Julia Cameron and J.K Rowling. Formidable writers in their own right who have inspired me when I'm down and through their books have shown me in their way how to stay on the path. Thanks to them both!
Anything else? Not at this point but if I think of something I'm sure I can come back here and keep you posted. Thanks for visiting my work and my world!
Accomplishments: I've got a few awards for my poetry from a local group I was once a member of in south FL. Lots of people have shared their positive reviews of my work (mainly in Beatles circles). I've never been very good about bragging on myself in this regard, but if I do have something to share, I'll certainly get back here to post it.
Oh yeah, I was awarded the Outstanding Broadcasting Student of my college class in 1989. Dare I go back further??
