My Name is TC McKinney and i was born in Birmingham, Alabama in the year 1984. I began my career as an Official Author and Poet in Late October 2009 publishing my first book 'Poetic Decree of Diversity' and hitting the headlines of the Trussville and Leeds News. I have been writing since I was very young and have always included many diverse topics. which deal with my perception of how and why the world is the way I see it. after many long years of desiring to publish my first book it became accomplished after finishing my draft in Boise, Idaho. My desire was to help others through my use of poetry. To help them find comfort on there level in all aspects and help them become inspired to reach there own genius inside of themselves. My intention being no more than to help others be true to themselves. I hope to set about the broad and vast realm of applications set about through each ones diverse path and create a system of non judgment upon another's views. Diversity in Unity.
The purpose of my work is simple. To promote Poetic Diversity. Poetic Diversity comes in many expressions and is not limited to just poetry but music, art and other forms of creative expression. I find that by spreading Poetic Diversity we can come together in unity with one another based on our differences and that all may have an equal chance to allow there own expressions through how they percieve this world. We are all inspired by something to create what we do and to this we must be true to ourselves. What I write in my poetry not only touches base with this world but a look beyond the five senses we have been given. There is room behind the meaning of every work created and each person has an intention worthy of sharing. With this said I must say that I have written some simple steps to create the Poetic Genius within each of us. These simple steps are as follows: Be true to yourself, Expression of Desire, Desire into Action and Correction of your masterpiece that is followed by an intention to bestow critisim to your work so that is may be perfected. These four steps make up a way to bestow your work as a true gift in poetic genius. I hope to inspire a wide range of applications out there to promote another persons own way for themselves and not to be judgemental of other in there own growing process. Like I have stated in my first book, “The Decree of Diversity is open, yet the road to diversity is rough and judgmental.”
