Eisenhower.  Carolyn Eisenhower Speed was born at the Royal German Officers Compound in Berlin, Germany and flew from the Tempelhof International Airport with her father, President/Supreme Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower to Minter Field Air Base in Bakersfield, California USA

Carol Speed along with four other girls from the San Francisco Bay Area are on the cover of Sly Stone's first album that includes the hit single "I Ain't Got Nobody". Then on to the Dating Game where Carol Speed chose KGFJ Disc Jockey Don Tracey for her date. But they never went on their Puerto Vallerta, Mexico trip, because Carol Speed started doing commericals like Gino's Pizza, Dodge Duster, Dolly Madison Pies, as well as sitcoms like "Sanford & Son, Here Comes The Bride, There Goes The Bride," "Julia," "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father," "The Paul Lynde Show," "Days Of Our Lives," the film "The New Centurions," and then she went to the Philippines to film "The Big Bird Cage" and "Savage".

COTTON COMES TO HARLEM Carol Speed performed crowd voices for Director Ossie Davis

THE BOBBY GENTRY SHOW Carol Speed was one of four backup singers/dancers for the Bobby Gentry Show at Harrah's in Reno, Nevada. While at Harrah's Carol Speed toured the Harrah's Car Collection, and enjoyed a private dinner with Bobby Gentry and the other three singers/dancers. Carol Speed turned one time in the wrong direction on the song "Wagon Wheel" while performing at Harrah's. No one noticed but Bobby Gentry. Carol Speed and Bobby Gentry jsut smiled at each other on stage. Carol Speed had turned the wrong way twice before at rehearsal in Beverly Hills, California.

JULIA Carol Speed played a replacement nurse, on the sitcom, for Diahann Carroll for one segment. Carol Speed also started dating Diahann Carroll's ex-husband Monte Kay.

LOVE, HATE, LOVE Starring Ryan O'Neal and Lesly Ann Warren.

THE COURTSHIP OF EDDIE'S FATHER Carol Speed filmed "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" starring Bill Bixby and Brandon Cruz on an MGM Sound Stage. Producer/Director Jimmy Komack had winnebagos brought in for dressing rooms. After filming a scene, Carol Speed went back to her dressing room and was laying on the sofa bed meditating when Jimmy Komack burst through the door and pounced on top of her. Carol Speed was outraged by the way Jimmy Komack was treating her and told him to leave. While walking out of the door, Jimmy Komack turned and told Carol Speed that she would never work again. Carol Speed went back on the set of "Courtship Of Eddie's Father" and finished filming the segment while Jimmy Komack watched. And Carol Speed kept working in Hollywood until the United States Government started oppressing and attacking her.

THE PAUL LYNDE SHOW One of the things that was a little annoying to Carol Speed while she worked with Paul Lynde on a segment of the "Paul Lynde Show" was that he was very nervous, to the point that he would be shaking, and he chained smoked. Carol Speed grew to dislike being around people who chained smoked because when she was sixteen she worked, in Compensatory Education, with a woman who chained smoked at Mt. Pleasant School District in East San Jose, California. At that time in her life she vowed that she would never be a chain smoker because she found it excessive and out of control.

SANFORD & SON "HERE COMES THE BRIDE, THERE GOES THE BRIDE The only time in Carol Speed's entire life that she wears a white wedding gown is on Sanford & Son.

THE NEW CENTURIONS The funny thing that happened on the set was when Carol Speed accidently knocked Stacey Keach's toupee off his head when she was coming out of the patty wagon. His toupee was so expensive Carol Speed didn't realize that it wasn't his hair. Stacey Keach was such a big star nobody laughed. He was starring with George C. Scott, and Carol Speed only had a few lines, so she was afraid she would be fired. After a break, they resumed filming "The New Centurions".

THE BIG BIRD CAGE The editors of the Big Bird Cage scrunched Carol Speed's face up when she interacted with Pam Grier. This was done to make Pam Grier look better than Carol Speed.

SAVAGE Lada Edmund, Jr., out of vicious jealousy, threw Carol Speed's beautiful white outfit into the swimming pool, before they filmed the bar scene. Carol Speed was furious, but Director Cirio Santiago had the wardrobe mistress to bring her another white outfit. Carol Speed really didn't like the outfit, but she needed to continue filming.

THE MACK The same photo that Frank Ward picked of Carol Speed for his choice for LuLu in the film "The Mack" was used in the film "Abby" for a photo of CarolSpeed's character "Abby Williams".

THE PSYCHRIATRIST: GOD BLESS THE CHILDREN The great thing about this television film was that I worked with the Staple Singers. Which was one of Carol Speed's reason for taking the role of the Church Lady. The other was George Grief, Barry White's Manager, thought it was a good idea, because of the gossip surrounding the assassination of Frank Ward, and my role as LuLu in the film "The Mack".

GIRLS OF HUNTINGTON HOUSE Carol Speed starred along with Pamela Sue Martin, Shirley Jones and Sissy Spacek in an ABC Movie Of The Week about unwed mothers. One of the secrets on the set of Girls of Huntington House is that Carol Speed and Pamela Sue Martin smoked some marijuana together.

I CAN MAKE IT a song written and performed by Carol Speed for the ABC Movie Of The Week "Girls Of Huntington House.

TENAFLY Jim McEachin, the star of Tenafly, was rude to Carol Speed all during her filming of "Tenafly" with him. He told her that it was a mess about her association with Frank Ward and his assassination. Then he told her that he was very good friends with Clint Eastwood and would be filming "Magnum Force" with him. Clint Eastwood must have not considered Jim McEachin too much of a friend because Felton Perry got the role that Jim McEachin was supposed to get in Magnum Force.

BUMMER In 1980 Carol Speed went to Paul Anka's Nightclub in Las Vegas, Nevada and it had a huge fish tank. In the film "Bummer," which stars Carol Speed, Connie Strickland, and Diane Lee Hart, there's a huge fish tank in the nightclub.

BLACK SAMSON One of the very controversial things, which has haunted Carol Speed over the years, while she was filming "Black Samson" was one morning she arrived on the set for work and Director Chuck Bail, Rockne Tarkington,Connie Strickland and some of the crew were not there. When they finally made it to the set, they apologized and said they had been up very, very late. After a few years, Carol Speed found out that they were up late filming a pornography version of "Black Samson" which included porn star John Alderman.

ABBY An interesting thing happened on the set of "Abby" in Louisville, Kentucky when Producer/Director William Girdler asked Carol Speed to jump up and down on the bed, and she said she couldn't because her pink gown was too short and she didn't have any panties on. Producer/Director William Girldler asked Carol Speed if she came all the way from California without any panties? Carol Speed said yes because she stopped wearing them. Then Producer/Director William Girdler stopped filming while one of his crew members ran out and bought Carol Speed some pink panties to match her pink nightgown.

Another interesting thing happened after the huge success of "Abby" was that Carol Speed saw a photograph of Marvin Gaye's mother, sitting up in bed, with the same pink nightgown on that Carol Speed wore in the film "Abby".

MY SOUL IS A WITNESS was written and performed by Carolyn Eisenhower for the film "Abby"

Then Gwen Joseph took a photo of Carol Speed, Aretha Franklin, Glynn Turman, and Cliff Roquemore sitting at Carol Speed's infamous glass table.
