An only child of the depression era. First used car purchased in partnership with friend for $35. Graduated Defiance (OH) High School. Pretty defiant ever since. Career counseler noted my strong points as "mechanical and "journalistic". Could never mesh, she said. Worked 20 years for a packing company, moving from truck loader to saleman, then quit and started own business, :so I would have more time to pursue my dream of writing. Built business, but had no time to write. Now retired, and writing. Love it!
