Originally from Wantaugh, New York, my family moved further out onto Long Island to a town called Selden. The death of my father at the age of three, had me on a continuous journey to understand the life he led as a WWII veteran and POW survivor. Today, in my forties, I have four beautiful children, a loving husband and several little pets running around. Graduated from Katharine Gibbs in 1985, with various office jobs. Have recently returned to college to complete my bachelors degree, while volunteering in the Fire Department for the past ten years. I have kept up my interior status as a firefighter and have continued to challenge myself in the fire and emergency services. Freelance writing has been my passion of late, and one I hope to get paid for in the near future. Connections being made through the local news organization as well as News 12, will hopefully put me in a position to begin a career in Journalism.
