Born 5 months before the 1929 crash. Grew up during the Great Depression, 16 years-old when the first A-bomb exploded over Hiroshima, almost run over by the battleship Iowa in the Sea of Japan in 1953, found and married the luminous Liddy in Hong Kong in 1956. Four children, 5 grandchildren.
