Cindy Lou spent the largest part of her life in the shadows of Houston where she attributes her sense of humor and sense of adventure. She attended Reagan High School and Houston Community College. She earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University and is now working on her Masters.
After moving to the Spring/Klein/Woodlands area in the early 90's she spent her times exploring the area on and off the road with her Boston Terrier and her fishing pole.
She was active in animal rescue and often found herself the foster mother of Boston Terriers that somehow ended up in her care because their owners grew tired of responsibility. For awhile she was known as the Boston Terrier Lady because of all the little black and white little dogs that surrounded her. Even her black Bronco proudly displayed "Got Bostons?"
As she sat fishing with her beloved Mickey D at her side she began writing cute mysteries to entertain herself. When the stories grew tired of just spinning around in her head she began to put them on paper. Once the first book "Out of the Texas Mist" was in the process of being published she moved to the Texas Hill Country. There she wrote the second book of the series "Dead Xs in Texas. Her Mysteries take place in Texas and include many colorful characters. Her writing influence comes from her favorite authors Kinky Friedman, Larry Mc Murtry, and Stephen King. Throw them all in the mix for a funny yet poignant mystery.
Cindy is proud to say that she has made some very interesting friends along the way and some of them end up in her tales. When she was asked why write mysteries? "Life is all about adventure. Why not?" was her reply with a wicked grin and a wink?
