"A book of haiku's that brings sunshine to the hood when frowns dominate. Ever seen corner stores in the middle of the block, with poverty performing on the corner? If no..

Background Information

Writers are the most renowned gossips. What you tell them in private is told to the public by their characters. (Oscar Quotes)

I generally spend a greater part of my time reading, thinking about what i have read, thinking about what i will read or writing, thinking about what i have written, thinking about what i will write.

My Form 2 English Teacher at GBHS Ndop, Mr Kunah David, is the major source of my creative energy. His special weekly two hour on CREATIVE WRITING gave me the opportunity to unleash the creative energy in me and since then it has grown ceaselessly.

Birth Place
Ndop,  Cameroon
Accomplishments

Guest poet at 1999 International Day of the African Child celebration (Divisional Delagation of Social Welfare). Winner of the Bernard Folon Poetry Competition (2005)

Additional Information

Upcoming poetry collection: To Err is Divine: Sonnets From Maroua. About this Collection Kangsen Feke Wakai says: Labang has invoked his muse to tamper the unforgiving heat and landscape of the Saharan North where he becomes a 'Gadamayo'--a stranger in his own country; the poet's testimonial to displacement, God-fatherism, and 'dark days in a lonesome quest for treasure.' Wirndzerem G. Barfee says: Labang has invoked his muse to tamper the unforgiving heat and landscape of the Saharan North where he becomes a 'Gadamayo'--a stranger in his own country; the poet's testimonial to displacement, God-fatherism, and 'dark days in a lonesome quest for treasure.' Dr Eric Achimbe says: This collection of sensationally critical and personal poems takes us too on a sojourn not only through life’s dungeons but also through our inner ourselves. ...We get a cold chill of the awkward functioning of state apparatus, of the stingy display of personal gains, of life’s lost battle against devildom, and we stop to ask: is it really worth it?
