I have been writing since I was a young girl. I had some very encouraging teachers who thought I had some talent in writing poetry. I wrote a lot of poetry, but soon realized I was not fully expressing myself with words. Having the talent for writing does not mean someones maximizing her full potential. My poetry was still undeveloped, and perhaps it still is.
In the Navy, I was an Aviation Weather Forecaster. I had the opportunity to write several articles for our local base paper, and found I enjoyed giving information to people. I was charged with writing training briefs, and again, I devoured the chance to inform people. I started writing for several websites, and found that I could be a teacher as well as a student by putting my small shards of wisdom into a visual context. People comment and share their shards, and for that, I am thankful for, but not dependent on technology.
