Author of Breakup: enduring divorce - a chronicle of my divorce and recovery - and taken directly from the journal I kept.

Background Information

I was born and raised in South Africa, lived on a kibbutz in Israel for five years before moving to London. I was married for twenty years, fathered three children and got divorced. After remarrying I returned to Israel and now live in the Jerusalem hills, where I have my pottery studio.

A few years ago I decided to resurrect the journal I kept during the time of my divorce. The journal, a chronicle of the breakup of my marriage and recovery, became my book BREAKUP: enduring divorce.

I have an interesting and unusual human interest story to tell that I want a lot of people to hear.

BREAKUP: enduring divorce
A brutally honest and unusual divorce memoir. Written as a journal in real time, Averbach's narrative interweaves his ordeal with his psychotherapy in a deeply- reflective, intimate manner. His concomitant process of transformation gives Breakup a far-reaching significance that is quite compelling.
